GIC’s President, Dr. Richard Gilmore, serves as a trustee for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and the Canadian Competition Bureau. Dr. Gilmore’s trusteeship activities fall into one of three categories:

  • Monitor Trustee – Monitoring compliance with orders issued by regulatory agencies in the U.S. and Canada, enforceable with respondent parties to any order.
  • Divestiture Trustee—Oversight of required divestitures as part of decision orders by regulatory agencies in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Hold Separate Trustee—Management of assets under a divestiture order from regulatory agencies in the U.S. and Canada.

Through these activities, Dr. Gilmore and GIC participated in transactions with an estimated value of over two billion dollars. Further information about these services is available upon request.
